Bedlam Records & Green Chimney Presents:

The first official Boss Moxi live performance of their new album, in it’s entirety is here and it couldn’t be at a more fitting venue. Almost 3 years ago The Zoo played home to Boss Moxi’s last ever performance as the original band. On September 16th 2017 the project returns, as original members Doig, Milad and Grima welcome the likes of a new drummer, sax player, keys player and cello player. Alex Flamsteed, Julian Palmer, Morgan Brown and Joshua Rivory join the revitalised second phase to the Boss Moxi story. The band invites you to a special night and showcasing the new project that has been in the works since December last year. Supported by some of Brisbane’s most experimental and respected groups and presented by two ball-busting, trouble making record labels.

Special Guests:

Julia R. Anderson

Lined up to set some calm and ambience to the night with her experimental dream pop. Though don’t expect any musical conformity from her either; she manages to blend ambience with rock and pop whilst weaving in confounding instrumental textures, it’s a set not to be missed.

An 11 piece psych-brass-metal-rock-opera act (you read that right). These guys are bound to serve up a brutal performance of medieval madness. Recently described as ‘innovative but kind of messed up’, the band merge jazz and rock to form an awesome sound unlike anything we can compare them to.

Big Dead

The six piece Big Dead (of Green Chimney Records) – pioneers of the jazz, rock and groove blend. At the heart of Big Dead is a take-no-prisoners musical ambition, eager to hurl the listener from chaos through to catharsis.
