Juxta Thought – SINGLE LAUNCH!
Juxta Thought are a five piece band based in Byron Bay with members from across Australia, Canada and England. Following their last three performances (all at sell out shows) they are looking at a strong start to 2017. Their music is refreshing and unlike anything heard for a while. With punk and hip hop influences they bring a familiar anti-establishment sound straight into today and capture the free thinking image of their home town. Juxta Thought are sure to power up any concert and share their strength with the people. Greatness is the only outcome for these rockstars.
Papperbok are a psychedelic rock band from Brisbane, Australia. Their debut album ‘Girlk’ (out in November 2016) is a concept album about a little girl named Lucy who stumbles across a surreal, underground world while lost in the Australian bush. Fittingly, Girlk is a musical journey in which every track flows into the next, with lush production and many twists and turns along the way.
Two strange brothers (Jordy and Finn) thrashing old Stratocasters and beat up drum kits in their dude shack garage on brisbane’s south side, meet A killer young Bass player and flamenco shredder (Jonty), to form Selfish Sons in the early days of 2016. Feeling stupid, fed up of school and ever so slightly musical, they took to writing some tunes, extracting some deeper shit that lurked in the back of their minds. Their music is for the people, and the rest? Coming very soon….
With a taste of dream pop and melancholy undertones, Brisbane three-piece House Hounds bring a new approach to 90s nostalgic alt rock. Their new single ‘Middleman’ combines dynamic tones and alternative time signatures with floating ambience.
Recorded by Liam Quinn (Landings) and mixed by Branko Cosic (Tape/Off), ‘Middleman’ swings and dives with lush chorus guitars and a backline that charms.
The Slilts are a four-piece Brisbane band born in a backyard shed. Honing a wide range of influences including surf, punk and alt rock, The Stilts fluctuate from mellow melodies to hard hitting riffy songs that are sure to grab your attention. Keep an eye out for The Stilts soon to be released new single!
